From September 15, the two complete seasons of The Orville – written and conceived by the irreverent Seth MacFarlane – will be available in the Disney + catalog, in the Star section
The expansion of the Star section continues Disney+ thanks to the products of 20th Century Fox. After the inclusion of the iconic American Horror Story series and its unreleased spin-off – American Horror Stories – September gives subscribers to the platform another milestone of the production house: The Orville.
From now – September 15 – the two seasons of the series will in fact be available in the catalog, anticipating – in all probability – the release of the third season (still in production) directly on Disney +.
The Orville: la trama
Set 400 years into the future, the series follows the adventures of the crew – both human and alien – of the USS Orville, a mid-level exploratory spacecraft. At the command we find Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane), recently divorced and for the first time in command of a spaceship, determined to prove his worth at all costs. Amidst the dangers and wonders of the universe, the strange team will have to find a way to coexist.
But the situation becomes complicated with the arrival of Kelly (Adrianne Palicki), Ed’s ex-wife, assigned to Orville as first mate.
The series is the first project live action by Seth MacFarlane (best known for being the father of animated family members and American Dad!) and is inspired by science fiction classics, such as Star Trek and The Edge of Reality, as well as irreverent films like Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Classic and breathtaking settings – typical of the genre sci-fi – then mix withhumor cheeky by MacFarlane.
The result is one light and fun series, a must for fans of the genre, who from today will be able to (re) see the adventures of the Orville and her crew comfortably on Disney +.
