Our review of the new Oppo Find X5 Lite
After exploring the possibilities of the Oppo Find X5, the turn of the Find X5 Lite has come. With a bright color and compact design compared to the standards, this Oppo wants to be positioned in a mid-range to guarantee excellent performance at an affordable price. Are good intentions enough to stay within the contemporary smartphone standards without exceeding the price?

Design
The Oppo Find X5 Lite is characterized, like the rest of the X5 family, for a incredibly attractive design. The model we tested boasted the Startrails Blue coloring which, as the name suggests, has a bright sky blue that fades at the bottom. Give her size (160.6mm X 73.2 mm X 7.81 mm) e dal weight (173 g) smaller than the average, the Find X5 Lite holds very well in the hand and returns a solid feel and excellent use of materials.
Lo screen is a 6.43 ″ Full HD protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that makes a difference. There frame is clearly visible, especially in the lower part of the smartphone but not from excessive disturbance. Likewise the notch, of the 32MP camera, located at the top left and not in the center, is small in size and does not excessively alter the vision except perhaps during a movie or during gaming. On the sides of the screen we have the classic volume buttons (left) and the power button (right). On the bottom we find theingresso USB Type-Cthe audio output, the microphone output and a much appreciated Jack input for headphones.
The back of the mouse, in addition to the fantastic coloring we talked about, houses the photographic sector consisting of two large 64 MP lenses and an 8MP macro lensas well as the inevitable flash.
Technology
Entering the heart of the Oppo Find X5 Lite, we find a Dimenstiy 900 processor, far from current standards but able to do its job perfectly. In support of the chip we have a RAM and 8GB e 256GB of internal memory, both expandable. The RAM, in fact, can be enlarged by 2, 3 or 5GB by sacrificing some of the internal memory, for greater reactivity. In general, the chip works perfectly except in some situations of excessive load such as when playing a high-performance video game.
Speaking of operating systems instead, the Find X5 Lite uses the most recent yes ColorOS 12 but still based on Android 11. This is a bizarre choice, anachronistic compared to the trends of 2022. But despite this, we cannot say that we have found ourselves in critical situations. In fact, during daily use, we did not encounter excessive problems, not even during the multitasking. In line with the standards, excellent connectivity with support for networks 5G and also the latest generation WiFi 6E (2.4 / 5.1 / 5.8GHz), in addition to the inevitable Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC.
Concludes a 4500mAH battery with 65W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.
The Camera of Oppo Find X5 Lite
The camera is certainly one of the strengths of the Oppos in general and therefore also of this Find X5 Lite with some “but”. There 64MP rear camera guarantees excellent shots even in low light and for extreme cases, there is always a very efficient night mode. Also important is the 32 MP front camera, a relatively high number by mid-range standards that offers selfies and front shots always at the top. The macro camera, on the other hand, does its duty but does not overdo it.
On the other hand, the Slow Motion, Time Lapse, HD Extra, Panoramic and Dual View Video modes, easily found in other models but which certainly offer interesting variations. In general, however, it must be said that this Lite’s camera doesn’t stray too far from last year’s modelwhich is a pity especially in view of a rising price.
Our test of the Oppo Find X5 Lite
We tested the new Oppo Find X5 Lite for about 2 weeks during which we used it daily both for work and for entertainment.
Let’s start by saying that we have rarely got our hands on smartphones that are so pleasant to look at. There Startrails Blue coloring it is a feast for the eyes and returns a pleasant and silky feel but without slipping. In general weight and size are balanced for one smartphone neither too big nor too smallpleasant to hold. Although the processor is not the most recent, every action we have done with our Oppo has been done in the best way smoothly. From music, to surfing the net, instagram or messaging, everything flows nicely. We find some limits in the case of starting demanding applications such as some video games.
The camera also gave us satisfaction although it does not represent anything extraordinary and above all, not so different from many other models on the market that also have a lower cost. Here we come to perhaps the most painful point, the quality-price ratio did not seem the most right. We are talking about € 499 for a smartphone that is efficient and pleasant to look at, but like many others on the market.
The 4500mAH battery with 65W SUPERVOOC fast charging support is excellent which allows you to recharge your smartphone from 0 to 100% in just over half an hour.
The review of the Oppo Find X5 Lite in a nutshell
The Oppo Find X5 Lite proved to be a useful ally for everyday use as well as an excellent and beautiful smartphone. Despite the limitations of an outdated processor and features that are too similar to last year’s model, Oppo Find X5 Lite manages to stand out for an attractive design and great efficiency. However, this fails in our opinion to justify the price of 499 €, which has risen compared to last year.
The Oppo Find X5 Lite can therefore be the ideal choice in case you want to finally explore the new wonders that the world of smartphones has to offer in 2022. If, on the other hand, you are a technology addict and are always looking for the top, maybe the choice can fall back on the other members of Oppo’s X5 family.
