The Sims 4 releases the Babies update

Publisher EA and developer Maxis today announced the release of the new Babies update for The Sims 4. So if you hear a baby crying, don’t worry: you’ve probably just become a parent of a Simmino.

Just as in real life, newborns will soon begin to develop the natural ability to express needs, emotions and feelings. It will therefore be up to the family members, that is to say to you, to take care of it and guide it in its growth path.

The more family members interact with newborns, the more bonds they will form with the newborn, critical to the development of the little Sim. The interactions will bring about special characteristics that influence their ability to form healthy relationships throughout their lives.

What to know about the Babies update for The Sims 4

In addition to giving birth to their newborn in a biological way (with the stork, of course), the Sims can decide to adopt them. Indeed, it will be possible to try Science Baby, a new interaction that allows Sims to use genetic material to have a baby through science. Alternatively, you can use the classic Create-a-Sim editor to personalize your newborn. Through CAS it is also possible to modify the traits that influence the personality of the newborn. And then there’s the bedroom, obviously also fully customizable.

The Newborn update is available from today for everyone on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Mac and PC (via EA app, Origin, Steam and Epic Games Store). Finally, remember that The Sims 4 is a free-to-play video game, so you can install the game for free.
