Lionsgate has released the trailer for his next horror film. The Stranger – Chapter One is the first film of the new trilogy directed by Renny Harlinveteran of directing Die Hard 2. The new reboot is based on the horror cult original from 2008 directed by Bryan Bettino, which traces the events of a young couple terrorized by three strangers hidden behind a mask.
In the new film that kicks off a new trilogy, Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), plays a young woman who starts a new life with her boyfriend. During a travel stop in an isolated holiday home, the two become prey to a mysterious gang of masked strangers, who attack them for no reason. There’s also a bit of the original film in this reboot: Bryan Berlinauthor of the original film, wrote the story, while the screenplay was written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland.

The cast includes Madelaine Petsch, Gabriel Basso, Rachel Shenton, Richard Brake, Froy Gutierrez, Ella Bruccoleri, Ema Horvath e Ben Cartwright. The Strangers: Chapter 1 screenplay is by Alan R. Cohen, Alan Freedland e Amber Loutfi. As mentioned, the relaunch consists of a trilogy, shot back-to-back by the expert Renny Harlin. His first success was a horror film (Nightmare 4, 1988), but Harlin later dedicated himself above all to action, with films such as Die Hard 2, Spy, The Covenant and Hercules.
