The week on climate change starts on YouTube

YouTube’s Climate Change Week kicks off October 23. Several original shows are scheduled for this initiative focusing on the theme of climate change with the aim of inspiring and motivating everyone on the importance of acting now to have a better and more sustainable planet. The appointments on the calendar are different.

YouTube Climate Change Week kicks off

The YouTube initiative begins with the special event Dear Earth lasting 100 minutes which will also see an intervention by Barack Obama, a keynote and a performance by the supergroup KPOP BLACKPINK, the evolutions of the professional cyclist Danny MacAskill and the skier JT Holmes. For the occasion there will also be speeches by SpongeBob SquarePants. On the program, again for October 23, there is Climate Games which will follow creators and top-level athletes grappling with a series of spectacular challenges designed to raise awareness on the climate issue.

The other events

On Monday 25 October it will be the turn of Seat at the Tablet, an 11-episode series that follows Jack Harries, documentary maker and climate activist. On October 26, however, the YouTube initiative on climate change will record the event Shut It Off ASAP with the two Canadian YouTubers of AsapSCIENCE, Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown. On 27 October it will be the turn of Brave Mission: Rewild the Planet, a breathtaking expedition around the world led by Brave Wilderness YouTuber Mark Vins. To complete the program we find, for 28 October, SIGNALS, a story linked to man’s relationship with plastic, and YouTube Originals presents TED Countdown ”, for October 30th.
