There continue to be changes for the Thunderbolts film, in fact Geraldine Viswanathan will replace Ayo Edebiri, the star of the award-winning TV series The Bear
The cast of the new Marvel film continues to change. In fact, in addition to Lewis Pullman replacing Steven Yeun in the role of Sentrynow The Bear actress Ayo Edebiri is also leaving the project, again due to work commitments, to make room for Geraldine Viswanathan. All these actor dropouts from Thunderbolts are the aftermath of the writers’ and actors’ strike that has kept Hollywood at a standstill for far too long. Filming was postponed several times and as a result the two actors were forced to abandon Thunderbolts.

In Ayo Edebiri’s place there will be Geraldine Viswanathanwho will star alongside Florence Pugh in the role of Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan who will become the Winter Soldier again, David Harbour who returns as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell who will be US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Olga Kurylenko in the role of Taskmaster. We still don’t know what Geraldine Viswanathan’s role will be, but we can tell you that she’s not the only one replacing another actress. The same fate befell Lewis Pullman who replaced Steven Yeun as the Sentry. The actress starred in Cat Person, Beanie Bubble e Drive Away Dolls. The director of the film will be Jake Schreier, but we still don’t know anything about the plot. The protagonists will be a group of ex-criminals who will have to undertake missions on behalf of the government, of sorts Suicide Squad but from Marvel. The film will be released on July 25, 2025.
