Touring Club Italiano announces the 2024 Italian Hotel and Restaurant Guide

Il Touring Club Italiano recently unveiled the 2024 edition of its historic Guide “Hotels and restaurants in Italy”, a real journey through the flavors and traditions of the Bel Paese. This year, the guide not only celebrates Italy's food and wine richness but also places a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovationwith an eye to those who choose the electric mobility.

Italian Hotel and Restaurant Guide 2024, focus on electric mobility

The guideedited by Teresa and Luigi Cremona, proposes 58 itinerary which cross Italy from north to south, offering a complete panorama of Italian culinary excellence. From starred restaurants to village trattorias, passing through food and wine shops and farms.

Furthermore, this year's edition highlights further 200 structures located in the countries Orange Flag, small pearls of the Italian hinterland certified by the Touring Club for their quality and beauty. A distinctive element of the 2024 guidance is the focus on sustainable mobility. Thanks to the collaboration with eV-Now! Foundation and Witaly, the guide includes a section dedicated to addresses “Electric Friendly”. These are structures that offer services for those traveling by electric, as charging stations for electric vehicles.

The guide does not just list addresses, but also rewards excellences in terms of sustainability and innovation. Among the winners, we find the Torre Guaceto Greenblu Resort and the Adler Spa Resort Sicily, both virtuous examples of how tourism can coexist harmoniously with environmental protection. They also receive a prize Eco Wellness Hotel Notre Maison, Cogne (AO), Serragiumenta Castle, Altomonte (CS) for renewable energy. They win for the charging service Hampton by Hilton Rome North, Fiano Romano (RM) and Paluffo, Certaldo (FI). Furthermore, Villa Cavalletti, Grottaferrata (RM) and Santa Lucia MaccareseFregene (RM) win for energy efficiency.

TCI also rewards the best young chefs with the Tomorrow's Top Award. Won Guido Paternollo of the Park Hyatt in Milan, Irina Stratan of La Paterna in Giavera del Montello (TV), Giulio Gigli of UNE in Foligno and Dario Pandolfo of Cala Luna in Cefalù.
