Packaging e design | Recensione Trifo Lucy

The packaging is really very well crafted, durable and large to be able to contain everything, inside we find everything that the category offers: the robot vacuum cleaners and floor cleanersthe charging base with its power supply, the dirt containeril water container (not very large), the various instruction manuals and some microfiber cloths soft for polishing floors.

Il design of the Trifo Lucy is very similar to that of the other robot vacuum cleaners, from an aesthetic point of view it does its part. From the round shapemade in sturdy and handy plasticslightly higher than other robots, makes it difficult to clean under sofas or low beds.

The central part is made of shiny plastic, a negative note in our opinion, as you can see more of the fingerprints and dust that form above our robot. Opening the upper compartment we find the 600ml powder containerand reset buttonand LED Wi-Fi and a charging port USB-A. In the center we find a golden ring with two buttons. A button allows you to turn on / off the device, while the other can be used to send the robot to its charging base.

Front, back, bottom and dock station

In the front front we find the usual bumper with the contact sensors and the camerawith a sensor 1080p con HDRflanked by a infrared blaster, which allows the robot to see also of night. This feature is primarily intended to support the surveillance mode, but also in homes with little light. Interesting the two air intakes on the back, large, they give a particularly aggressive design.

Turning the device upside down we find, i two charging sensorstwo Velcro to attach the water container, on the left we find the rotating brush with six different sizes of bristles, while in the center we find: the spinning wheel a 360 degrees and under the large rotating brush with silicone pads and soft bristles, both brushes are removable for cleaning.

The docking station standard size and very light is only suitable for charge the deviceso the option of is not available automatic emptying. The manufacturer has added some elements to enhance the design. There are some golden accents around the dock, as well as on the charging sensors, we liked that at the bottom there is a plastic cover to facilitate the cable management.

Finally the field test | Trifo Lucy Review

We got to the crux of our review, how did the robot behave in the field? The robot is powered by a motore brushless da 3000 pa. This suction power is clearly seen from the simplicity of how it aspires not only the dustbut also i pet hair.

The power is also noticeable in the cleaning of large or small rugs. It is not among the most powerful in the category, but it is able to aspire in a decisive and functional way. The noise is proportional to the power set, in fact it is possible to increase or lower the power but in any case it remains quieter than traditional vacuum cleaners.

Now let’s move on to the sore point of this robot, the washing the floor. Let’s start with the assembly, the device attaches via a velcro system, it does not have any solenoid valve for the management of amount of water. In fact, the water goes down freely (we only have 100 ml available) ending the liquid in no time. It cannot cover the entire house in one pass.

Mapping and mobile app | Trifo Lucy Review

All robot management takes place through the original “Trifo Home” application, available for both iOS that for Android. Once downloaded to your smartphone and logged in you will have to configure the robot with the network Home Wi-Fi so that you have complete control.

Through the application you can not only map the housebut decide the hours or areas for cleaning, prohibit certain parts of the house where it is not allowed to enter, see it charging statusbut also to view the camera on the device in real time.

This is excellent mode also to be used as surveillance camerato remotely check what happens in our home when we are away or to keep ours under surveillance pets. Lucy will also send us some notifications when he discovers one person or noise in home. Also we can associate it with voice assistants, such as Alexa e Google Assistant.

Battery life | Trifo Lucy Review

The battery of the Trifo Lucy is from 5200 mAh. In our test we could use it for nearly two hours of continuous useas stated bymanufacturing company. Which is not bad at all, considering the presence of the always-on camera, and of the system IA managed directly by the robot: all features that need more computing power and, therefore, more energy.

Conclusions

An ideal robot vacuum cleaner isn’t just what it manages to do polishers good house, but also one that can offer excellent value quality price. From this point of view, the device is placed in the range medium-high, with a cost quite highbut if you find it on a discount it’s a really good deal.

Trifo Lucy it is undoubtedly a product innovativedifferent from all other robot vacuum cleaners, which makes artificial intelligence and obstacle recognition its own strength, not making you feel the lack of a navigation system LiDAR.
