Gary Dauberman and David F. Sandberg renew their partnership in the production of the Until Dawn film after the great success of Annabelle: Creation
Sony announces film adaptation of Until Dawn, the 2015 multiple choice horror video game made by Supermassive Games, which among other things also inspired the popular series The Dark Pictures Anthology. The live action film is in production at Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions, with Gary Dauberman to the screenplay e David F. Sandberg as director, and will be R-rated, so it will retain many brutal scenes from the original experience.
Until Dawn is a 2015 video game developed in exclusive to PS4, and is considered a pioneer of the multiple-choice interactive horror genre. The game tells the story of eight friends, chased by a sadistic killer during a mountain holiday in Blackwood Pines, in the Canadian province of Alberta. In the cast there are many well-known actors: Hayden Panettiere, Meaghan Martin, Jordan Fisher and Oscar winner Rami Malekalready known for the TV series Mr Robot and the film Bohemian Rhapsody.

The film adaptation follows rumors of a video game sequel. The project was entrusted to the director of the Shazam films David F. Sandberg, and the screenwriter of Annabelle, It e The Nun Gary Dauberman, who for the occasion will limit himself to slightly modifying the original story by Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick. The two have already worked together on Annabelle: Creation, which proved to be a great success, and now they will have the opportunity to bring this popular horror slasher to the big screen. The release period in cinemas has not yet been defined.
Gary Dauberman, who also has the live action TV series of Gargoyles for Disney, he made his directorial debut with Salem’s Lota film based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King whose distribution fate is still unknown.
