The life of the fans of the well-known vampire RPG, originally born in 1992 as a board game and which then debuted as a video game, it is full of uncertainties. In the creation of Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, a sequel to the first chapter, they were seen numerous postponements and impediments. In addition, a stalemate of the new game was also revealed: Paradox Interactive, in fact, not only removed the possibility of pre-ordering the sequel, but also stated how Hardsuit Labs he would no longer continue developing the game. And even a new spin-off of the franchise, by the name of Vampire The Masquerade Swansong, is not without some problems: in fact, a postponement of the release date has been confirmed, which will take place a few months later than the one officially established.

Vampire The Masquerade Swansong, developed by Big Bad Wolf, who previously created The Council, was first officially revealed during the first Nacon Connect event. A trailer was shown, and outlined what the game’s plot would be: assuming the role of three different vampires, players would have to unravel within a mystery, while the characters’ lives intertwined. The new title would have been an interactive RPG, perhaps with similar characteristics to the studio’s previous work. Initially, the release date of Vampire The Masquerade Swansong was planned for 2021, but it was later officially moved to February 2022.

The official Twitter account of the title, however, revealed unpleasant news for gamers, through an image that it reported a statement from the entire development team. Inside, it is reported that the small but passionate studio intends to create a world capable of attracting the player, which requires making difficult choices and then living with the consequences. In Swansong there will be numerous characters, choices, dialogues and opportunities that will allow you to outline a story; but the team focuses mainly on quality, and for this reason it was decided to delay the launch of Vampire The Masquerade Swansong as of May 19, 2022.
This decision was also made because of the problems caused by the pandemic, that have certainly contributed to putting a spoke in the wheel of the programming carried out initially. The extra time will also allow for further improvements to the title, as well as granting the studio other QA sessions.
