What Counts is Thought, a genuinely self-sufficient comedy

What Matters is Thought, will arrive in cinemas on May 26thbut in the meantime he has already collected several awards.

What Matters is Thought is the first feature film signed by the Bolognese Luca Zambianchiand it’s a low-budget independent comedy set in the university world of Bologna.

The plot

We are in the apartment of Michele and Giovanni, two students looking for a third roommate, who they perfectly stage the current generation, perpetually in crisis and with an uncertain future.

In the background the desire to bring to the theater a show that is the synthesis of a lifestyleinhabited by

a group of philosophers who do frequent the imaginary Sigmund’s Laundry.

Between postponed exams, ambitious discussions, too many coffees and incurable melancholies, which always lead to the path of self-irony, Giovanni and Michele are the mirror of their peers.

Produced by Henry Whites Film, shot with very few means, great ingenuity and many ideas about life, friendship and cinema, What Matters is Thought it’s a simple comedy that goes straight to the heartwith which you can immediately get in tune, and which immediately invites you to identify and discover the uncertainties of an entire generation.
