Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023: the news arriving at the event
Samsung has accustomed us to big events at the beginning of the year. For example, the company announced the range in February 2022 Galaxy S22 – composta da S22, S22 Plus e S22 Ultra. Simultaneously, it had also launched new ones tablet – Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus e Tab S8 Ultra.
What do we expect instead for this year?
The new Galaxy S23 series
Ok, this one is easy to predict: Samsung will announce its new Galaxy S series smartphones. The company has announced a new range of flagship smartphones like a Swiss watch at the beginning of each year, for at least a decade.
Leaked images of the new Galaxy S23 Ultra
But predicting the next Samsung smartphones is simple because we have already seen several rumors and leaks, especially in recent weeks. Indeed, recently we have even seen the new marketing posters that confirm the launch of the Galaxy S23 series: only the official announcement is missing.
Like last year, the formation seems to be made up of three devices: team that wins, you don’t change. There is the Galaxy S23 standard, l’S23 Plus e il Galaxy S23 Ultra. It seems that the design of the first two will remain similar, while there will be a few more changes for the Ultra. Especially because of a superlative camera.
A 200MP sensor for top-notch photos and videos
The main camera of the S23 Ultra should have a 200 megapixel main sensor high resolution. Almost double the 108 megapixel sensor of last year’s Ultra. More pixels don’t necessarily mean better photos and videos. But a sensor like this has the ability to gather more light and produce brighter, more detailed shots. And from the first photographs leaked online, it seems so.
The exact sensor should be theISOCELL HP2 di Samsung, which Samsung announced a few weeks ago. Alongside this 200-megapixel sensor, a leaked spec sheet suggests the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have three additional cameras, one 12 megapixel ultrawidemon 10 megapixel telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom and another 10 megapixel telephoto lens with a 10x optical zoom.
A better camera system than the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus, which are expected to have the sensors seen last year: i 50 megapixel main, 12 megapixel ultrawide and 10 megapixel telephoto.
Displays and datasheets
As for the screens, the Galaxy S23 is expected to have one display OLED 1080p 120Hz da 6,1 pollici. The S23 Plus is slightly larger at 6.6 incheswhile the S23 Ultra has an even bigger screen at 6.8 inches. Also, the resolution goes up to 1440p, still OLED and still 120Hz.
For everyone the processor should be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2at least in Europe and North America. But perhaps, for the first time, Samsung would give up its Exynos processors worldwide. In fact, Qualcomm’s chief financial officer Akash Palkhiwala said Qualcomm’s processor share would increase from “75 percento in G S22” a “quota globale in G S23”.
For the rest, between 8 and 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 1 TB of space of storage in the Ultra, while the other two models will only ship with 8GB of RAM and between 128 and 512GB of storage. Battery capacities go and 3.900 mAh at 5.000 mAh across the three phones, with 45W fast charging on Plus and Ultra and 25W on base S23.
Prices should increase compared to last year for Italy, according to the latest rumors. But it’s still not certain.

Samsung’s new laptops
In addition to the launch of the Galaxy S smartphone, we’re expecting a new line of Galaxy Book laptops to be featured at Samsung’s Unpacked event this year. Rumors suggest we could see up to five laptops announced, which MySmartPrice says will be called Galaxy Book 3, Book 3 360, Book 3 Pro, Book 3 Pro 360 e Book 3 Ultra.
As with smartphones, the model Book 3 Ultra it will be the higher-end model. It should have a 16-inch 1800p OLED display, one Intel i9-13900H CPU, one Nvidia RTX 4070 discrete GPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB of storage space e it will be compatible with Samsung’s S Pen stylus. Its touchscreen could also be thinner and lighter than usual thanks to the fact that it integrates touch sensors directly into the panel.
Then there will be the 360 model, with displays that can be turned fully for tablet mode and standard clamshell laptop. Also Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 should have 16-inch 1800p OLED display, with a choice of an Intel i5-1340P or i7-1360 CPU, integrated graphics, 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and stylus support. Instead, Galaxy Book 3 Pro non 360 it should be available with a 14-inch screen in addition to the 16-inch version.
Few proven information instead for the “non-Pro” models, which however it seems could have 13th generation Intel processors and 15 inch screensthe. For the rest of the details, we will have to wait for the official announcement.
No tablets, headphones and smartwatches
Last year Samsung announced the new tablets in the line Galaxy Tab S8 along with smartphones. But since we haven’t seen any leaks yet, it seems likely that the new generation could arrive later. Perhaps already at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but more likely in the summer together with Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Film 5.
True wireless earbuds should also skip Samsung’s event. The company has last updated its lineup Galaxy Buds Pro in August last year with Pro 2 and released the Galaxy Buds 2 in August 2021. So there may be something new in this department, but it doesn’t appear at the February 2023 Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.
Finally, an update of the smartwatches is unlikely, after the arrival of the series Galaxy Watch 5 last August. Expect them for this summer.
