There has been a lot of talk on the net about a hypothetical Uncharted 5 being developed for PS5 after Sony released its latest commercial dedicated to the console
Sony has released a new PlayStation commercial called “Live From PS5showcasing some of the console’s biggest titles, both past and upcoming, in a fictitious news segment, between the clips are two titles we don’t recognize and remind us a lot Unchartedwhich would suggest a chapter 5 for the successful adventure saga.
This fictional news segment shines a spotlight on the exploits of Spider-Man, Kratos, Ratchet and Clank, the Eikons of the upcoming game, as well as characters from Final Fantasy XVI and other games like Gran Turismo 7 and Returnal. However, between the clips, there are two snippets showing what appears to be one young woman in a mysterious cave holding a torch as he approaches an ancient relic. Have you seen them? In the first clip, the unknown character approaches an ancient one relic sitting on a pedestal holding a torch. The woman carries with her a voluminous backpack from which one hangs corda. In the second shot we see the same character blowing dust and dirt off the ancient relic. Now, another game announced for PS5 didn’t come to mind when we watched but the video, but these two clips combined remind us mostly of the series Uncharted di Naughty Dog.
Before making further hypotheses, it should be noted that in a recent interview with Buzzfeed, the president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckman, who worked on the Uncharted series, said the studio is “moving forward” on the franchise in question. However, even if Naughty Dog could abandon Uncharted, it is still a PlayStation IP, which means that another software house could work on the aforementioned IP.
