Over the last few weeks, the WhatsApp App has really amazed us with the release of many new features aimed at improving the user experience. Beyond the expected multi-device functionality, there were other interesting options that caught our eye. The beta 2.22.6.3 of WhatsApp for Android, already in the testing phase, presents a shortcut to search in chats. So let’s find out what it is more specifically.
WhatsApp: App improves chat search with the new Android beta
The WhatsApp App adds another novelty for users of the platform. There beta 2.22.6.3 per Android, in fact, it adds a new shortcut for searching within chats, beyond the already existing one for searching from the main screen or the one within the conversation, reachable with a simple click on the icon of the three dots at the top to the right of the screen. According to what reported by WABetaInfo – of which you can see a screen below -, there would be a new option within a contact’s information screen.

As you can see yourself, below the profile picture – next to the icons for the audio call and the video call – appears a magnifying glass. Just touch it to allow users to search within the chats. In this sense, it would be just the umpteenth feature to facilitate the search for text within conversations. Users, therefore, will be spoiled for choice at this point. The option, for the time being, will only be available for Android devices. We remember that it is a beta, so we do not know when it will really become functional in a stable manner.
