As with the Last Login, if you choose to hide your online status on WhatsApp you will not be able to see that of others.

However, we point out that since last year WhatsApp has started to automatically hide your Last Access from contacts with whom you have never messaged, so as to protect you from third party “stalkerware”. In this way, the bots that monitor your movements online cannot know if you are logged in on the messaging app.

This feature is currently in development for prossima beta for iOS, also in the future it should also arrive for Android, Web and desktop on Windows. There are no details on when it might become available: we will keep you informed about it.
