Mark Rubin, the executive producer of XDefiant, has confirmed that the release of the title is still scheduled for the summer of this year
If you are a FPS lover you will surely be anxious to get your hands on XDefiant, the new free to play shooter by Ubisoft. The launch of the title currently is scheduled for the summer of 2023 but, since we are already in August, players have begun to fear a possible delay. XDefiant is still pending approval
Mark Rubin recently posted several tweets to update fans on the status of XDefiant. According to the words of the producer, the title is currently still scheduled for the summer of 2023, but there may be some unexpected events due to external factors.
Rubin indeed revealed that the title currently it is still being approved by first party companies and besides, it seems that the process will take a little longer than usual. Apparently the longer certification time is due to that this is the first time that Ubisoft has submitted this version of its engine to companies. Despite this, however, it seems that the development of XDefiant is proceeding well and, once this tedious process is overwe will finally be able to know something concrete about the release date of the game.
XDefiant is slated for Summer 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | St, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions don’t have a launch window yet.
