The newcomer to the XGIMI family is Aura, a pHigh-end ultra-short throw 4K laser projector which aims to completely replace our TVs. In fact it can project a screen of approx 100 inches only 20 cm apart from the projection screen that reach 150 if you move it to 44 cm. Having a TV of this size is still a utopia in our living rooms!
XGIMI Aura: finally a 4K ultra-short throw laser projector
Given the previous well-made products to which XGIMI had accustomed us, many were waiting for the announcement of this XGIMI Aura, the first ultra-short throw 4K laser projector of the Chinese company. In fact, thanks to the particular optical group, it allows to project on large diagonals without the problem of having to position the projector at a great distance with the risk of occlusions.
XGIMI Aura boasts a brightness of 2400 ANSI lumens, a respectable brightness that will also allow you to enjoy HDR content. You can use it easily even when there is a little light in the room. The system is equipped with 8-point keystone correction that allows you to obtain a perfect image even if the projector is not perfectly aligned. The image quality, in addition to the 4K HDR10 resolution, can also count on a MEMC system for motion compensation to improve the sharpness of fast-moving scenes. 3D and coverage will also be supported space Rec. 709 at 90% and 80% of the DCI-P3. There is also a built-in harman-kardon audio system (2 tweeters and 2 woofers of 15W each) that will be compatible with Dolby DTS Audio.
The smart part of XGIMI Aura is managed by a MediaTek MT9629 processor, a Cortex-A55 quad-core with Mali-G52 GPU, backed by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Do not miss the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5. For wired connectivity we have 3 HDMI 2.0 ports, 3 USB 2.0 ports, optical output, one ethernet port, audio jack, mini USB and power supply. The Android 10 operating system guarantees compatibility with thousands of apps. The lamp has a claimed life of 25,000 hours which corresponds to 4 hours of daily use for 17 years. There is also a safety sensor that automatically lowers the brightness if it detects the presence of people. Very useful if we have children in the house.
Price and availability
