Four years later, theYik Yak app. This is a very special application that aims to characterize itself as a real one social network “location based” can guarantee a complete anonymity. Currently, Yik Yak is available exclusively on iPhone and in the US only. In the future, the official Twitter account of the application reports, the app is expected to be released in new countries and on new devices (therefore probably on Android devices).

Yik Yak is a social application that allows you to interact anonymously with other users nearby. Similarly to what happens on Income, the various posts can be voted, positively or negatively, to determine the success of the contents. The “hot feed” section will include the most voted posts on the social. The social network features an interaction system based on the user’s location that can interact with other users nearby.
Due to its completely anonymous character, Yik Yak in the past has been at the center of controversy several times. The new version of the application is also accompanied by the release of one new version of the official website.
