We all make mistakes, even the creatives on YouTube: from today comes the function “Corrections“, Which allows you to correct sNo need to reload the entire video. The fixes will appear as information cards in the top right corner of the video.
Corrections arrive on YouTube, to remedy the errors in the videos
Until now, the options for correcting a video were quite limited on YouTube. In fact, you could decide to modify e Reload video. But this meant giving up on comments and likes already made, as well as wasting a lot of time. Alternatively you could have put one note in the description or post a comment above, however, risking not to be seen. Something problematic especially for news and other sensitive topics.
Others found creative solutions for let the public know of an error. But YouTube wanted to make it easier. Now the function “Corrections”Allows you to add a tab at the top right that invites you to look at the correction. Users can click it and see the correction notes of the video.
Google also explained how to use the feature with a video on the Insider Creator channel, to help you even more in the remedy any errors.
The only limitation that seems to be there is that, although you can put several notes with different corrections, the tab will only appear in the upper right corner the first time. In the corrections section, however, you will see all the variations with the its timestamp.
This feature doesn’t count as a movie change per se, but it is an important step forward. Especially if you are simply wrong a report information such as dates, references or names. All without having to choose between the accuracy of the information and the success of your YouTube video.
