On the occasion of Geeked Week, the first official trailer of the new Netflix live-action, Yu Yu Hakusho, was released. Here’s what we know
The TV series Yu Yu Hakushoalso known as Ghost Yu, is finally coming up Netflix. The Geeked Week event allowed the streaming platform to spread the first trailer of the series. Let’s take a look, discovering, for those who aren’t aware, also the plot and the cast.

What will this new live-action be about? The events start from the day the student Yusuke he is forced to face his own death in an attempt to save a child. Once in the afterlife, the boy will meet Botanwho will tell him that his heroic gesture will allow him to return to the human world, but only if he completes a difficult test.
The main cast consists of Takumi Kitamura (already known for I Want to Eat Your Pancreas), Jun Shison, Kanata Hongō e Shūhei Uesugi. They are added to them Go Ayano, Ken’ichi Takito, Goro Inagaki, Sei Shiraishi, Kotone Furukawa, Ai Mikami, Hiroya Shimizu, Meiko Kaji e Keita Machida. Yu Yu Hakusho is inspired by the famous manga by Togashi, published in Japan from 1990 to 1994 and capable of selling over 78 million copies. An animated adaptation was also made from this original work, consisting of 112 episodes. We won’t have to wait long before seeing this new show, the series will debut on December 14, 2023. For now we can enjoy some previews thanks to the clip, almost two minutes long, which allows viewers to immerse themselves in this universe and get to know its protagonists.
