The new design aspects underline the close conceptual and technological links between the fully electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) for the premium midsize class, the BMW iX and the BMW i4.

BMW iX3 with standard M Sport package. New M aerodynamic wheels in 20-inch format available as an option as an alternative to the standard 19-inch aerodynamic wheels. Adaptive LED headlights are also standard. The BMW Laserlight can be chosen as an option.
Fully digital screen grouping now with a 12.3-inch frame and an enlarged Control Display consistent with the size of the car. Newly developed control panel on the center console for the shift lever, the BMW Controller, the Start / Stop button and the buttons for the Driving Experience Control switch and the parking brake.
Sports seats in the new perforated Sensatec upholstery and interior moldings in the new Aluminum Rhombicle dark finish are standard. BMW i Blue details on the gear lever, start / stop button and steering wheel.
The highly integrated propulsion unit combines electric motor, transmission and power electronics in one housing. Space-saving arrangement in the rear axle subframe, maximum power: 210 kW / 286 hp, maximum torque: 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). Power transmitted to the rear wheels, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds.
Model-specific high-voltage battery with a gross energy content of 80 kWh. The combined charging unit allows fast charging in direct current (DC) up to 150 kW. A 10-minute quick charge adds approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) of range into the WLTP cycle. Easy and low-cost charging in the international BMW Charging network with a single registration.
BMW i’s usual holistic approach to sustainability throughout the value chain. The design of the electric motor avoids the use of rare earths in the manufacture of the rotor. Extensive use of secondary raw materials. The BMW Group controls the cobalt and lithium procurement process for high-voltage batteries. Manufacture of battery cells and the car as a whole powered only by green energy.
Two equipment lines to choose from: “Inspiring” includes metallic paint, adaptive suspension, automatic tailgate operation, panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable seats, leather sports steering wheel, a storage package and an automatic climate control system three zones with preheating and preconditioning function. “Impressive” adds 20-inch light alloy wheels, sound-proof glass, Vernasca leather trim, BMW Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and BMW IconicSounds Electric.
Debut, availability, price and BMW Live Cockpit Professional
The European premiere for the new BMW iX3 will take place during the IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich. Production for both the local market and export will begin in September 2021 in Shenyang, China at the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture plant.
The vehicle will be available in the EU from autumn 2021, although orders will be possible immediately: the base price for Italy will be 70,900 euros including VAT.
An exceptionally wide selection of driver assistance systems are available as standard, including Driving Assistant Professional with Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, automatic Speed Limit Assist and route monitoring. The Parking Assistant with Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant is also standard.
BMW Live Cockpit Professional with cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant as standard. Also standard are: Smartphone Integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Remote Software Upgrade and other digital services from BMW Connected.
