Netflix releases the trailer for Luna Park, the Italian series, produced by Fandango, which will be available from 30 September 2021
Luna Park is the new Italian TV series that will be available on Netflix, of which the platform has released the trailer. To accompany the images, the remix version of the song Tu Me by Ornella Vanoni. The artist, icon of the Italian song in the years of the Dolce Vita as well as today, collaborated in the re-adaptation of the track specially created for the Luna Park trailer. The song, already included in the last album of the artist “Unica”, will be available, in its remixed and original versions, from 30 September on all digital platforms.
Luna Park sees in the foreground the story of Nora, a young carousel, and of Rosa, a girl from Rome who, thanks to a meeting desired by destiny, will discover that they are sisters. In a succession of intrigues and mysteries to be revealed, they will try to shed light on why, still in their infancy, they were separated and destined to live two lives completely at the antipodes, extraneous to the strong bond that instead united them.
Against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Rome, with its lights, splendor, the amusements of the legendary years of the Dolce Vita and the magic of the Luna Park, the series leads two families to look back to clarify their future. In the Luna Park the destinies of several generations alternate and intertwine, in a path made of intrigues and secrets during which the discovery of the first love will also find its place.
Luna Park: the trailer and the cast of the new Netflix TV series
The series, in 6 episodes, is created and written by Isabella Aguilar (Baby, The Place) and sees behind the camera Leonardo D’Agostini (Silver ribbon for best new director in 2019 for Il Campione) and Anna Negri (Baby).
The Marini family, of which Nora belongs, played by Simona Tabasco (Happiness has arrived, I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone, Doc) sees Tommaso Ragno in the role of his father Antonio, Milvia Marigliano (On my skin, Loro 2) in that of his grandmother Miranda. Mario Sgueglia (Il Campione, Summertime) is his uncle Ettore and Ludovica Martino (Under the sun of Riccione, Skam Italia), his mother Stella.
The Gabrielli family is made up of Lia Grieco, who debuts in a TV series in the role of Rosa, Guglielmo Poggi (I quit when I want, Welcome back President), in the role of her brother Giggi, Paolo Calabresi, in the role of Tullio, father of Rosa and Giggi, and Fabrizia Sacchi (The first beautiful thing, Suspiria) in those of the mother Lucia.
The events of the Marini and Gabrielli families are intertwined with those of the Baldi, a family composed of Lando, played by Michele Bevilacqua (Don Matteo, La Squadra), Doriana, who has the face of Lorenza Indovina (Forever Young, Qualunquemente), and their 2 children, Matteo played by Edoardo Coen and Simone by Alessio Lapice (The First King).
In the cast also Giulio Corso, in the role of Sandro Ralli, Matteo Olivetti in that of Celeste while Alessandra Carrillo is Tina, Celeste’s mother. Gianfranco Gallo (Indivisible, Gomorra – La Serie), plays Fausto Minnella, Davide Valle, in his debut, in the role of Cesare Grotta, Roberto Evangelista in that of Canio Grotta, Cesare’s cousin, Giulia Ricciardi in the role of Elvira; Lidia Vitale (Suburra) is Dominici, Sandro Ralli’s agent while Ilaria Loriga is Gioia.
