Fujifilm presents Link Wide, the new Instax portable printer, portable, light, immediate, to be connected to smartphone and tablet devices. We had the chance to test it live, here are our impressions.
Fujifilm never stops proposing new products that meet the needs of the market and this is the case of the new Link Wide: a portable printer of the Instax line, which connected to smartphones, tablets and other devices such as the Fujifilm Xs-10 allows you to print analog in wide format.
Fujifilm: the potential of the new Link Wide
We have already seen among the Fujifilm products presented this summer the Mini Link, an analog printer that produces snapshots of the mini format, but with this new printer we are faced with a wide format, that of classic snapshots and always much loved. In this sense Fujifilm has been able to respond to the need of those who appreciate the large format, but find portability difficulties with snapshots such as the Fujifilm Insta Wide 300. The Link Wide printer is thin, light, elegant, you can take it anywhere, because it can also fit in your pocket and transform all our digital photos into analogue photos with a classic taste.
A printer that is suitable for personal use, for pure fun and while traveling, but also caters to the commercial and event sector: a printer that is suitable for live events, to create instant images and share the moment . There are in fact some aspects present for example in the Instax Mini Liplay that return in this printer and are very suitable for sharing moments in groups or events. Among these, certainly the insertion of the QRcode inside the photo that refers to an audio string or to a site, blog or any link you want to connect. Very interesting is also the insertion of stickers, which can also be created manually by photographing images that are automatically transformed into PNG and affixed to your photo before printing.
Link Wide: Price and availability
The instax Link WIDE smartphone printer is available in two colors, Ash White and Mocha Gray, and will go on sale from the end of October 2021 at the suggested retail price of € 149.99 including VAT. A price that certainly makes it accessible, especially for all the potential it is demonstrating.
Instax WIDE Black instant film will be available for purchase in late October 2021 at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of € 12.99.
