The innovations brought by the Borgo Panigale house to its new Streetfighter V2 begin with a wider seat and new padding that contributes to even greater comfort when getting on this bike. In addition, the footboards have been moved to increase space. All these improvements are designed to offer the motorcyclist a lot of control during sporty riding and at the same time facilitate the use of the motorcycle in daily commuting.

The Streetfighter V2’s engine is the Superquadro Euro 5 da 955 cc, capable of a maximum power of 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 101.4 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Compared to the Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 model has a shorter final drive (15/45 vs 15/43). This figure guarantees greater torque to the wheel and, at the same time, improves the response of the engine when the throttle is reopened.

V2, Ducati’s Streetfighter for “everyone”

During the development of this new model, Ducati engineers concentrated on fine-tuning the chassis. The Superquadro engine is in fact used as a load-bearing element to connect the compact front structure, consisting of a monocoque frame in cast aluminum fixed to the engine head. The single-sided swingarm, also connected to the engine, is 16 mm longer than that of the Panigale V2, an important intervention that contributes to the stability of the bike.

The 6-axis IMU inertial platform manages all the electronic controls of the bike and transmits information in real time to the control units that manage the controls. The electronic package includes: ABS Cornering EVO with “slide by brake” function, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, Engine Brake Control (EBC ) EVO.
