Nikon, an iconic Japanese company in the world of photography, is launching a new flagship. This is the Nikon Z 9, a high-end camera that offers a higher level of shooting, with innovative features that aim to change the rules of the game. A tool that will be able to satisfy the needs of many types of users, restoring optimal quality to professionals in the sector.
Let’s discover the features of the new Nikon Z 9
Let’s start with the basics. The latest mirrorless camera coming to the Japanese house features a new one 45.7MP full-frame stacked CMOS sensor, combined with a ultra-fast EXPEED 7 processor. Features that allow you to obtain superior quality even when it is very important to shoot at speed, to capture the moment at the right time.
The Nikon Z 9 in fact is configured as the ideal adventure companion for all professionals who are dedicated to the world of sports photography. This is also why we had the opportunity to test it in an immersed day right in sport, testing it indoors and outdoors, across different disciplines. In each of these, as we will tell you later in the piece, it stood out for its quality, managing to convince us.
This is primarily thanks to the exceptional shutter speed, which we mentioned above. With the Nikon Z9 we will have the opportunity to reach the frequency of 120 fps, while maintaining excellent quality levels. In case of need, we can use minimum installation times, up to 1/32.000, and combined with the ability to shoot a ISO 64 it will offer exceptional creative possibilities.
Particular attention was paid to the electronic viewfinder design. In addition to being extremely bright and equipped with all the details necessary to take great photos, it has been designed with a real-live setting. We will be able to observe the action continuously, without obscuring. Another feature that makes this tool optimal for anyone dedicated to sports photography (and not only).

As we mentioned, we had the opportunity to pass a whole day with the new Nikon Z 9, putting it to the test with different challenges in a sports center. We were able to explore different environments, from those that were closest to the studio, up to the complete open air. And we must note that this tool he defended himself more than admirably in all conditions.
The extreme shutter speed and frequency it is undoubtedly very useful in these conditions. When you need to capture moments during a competition or training you need to be lightning fast and the Nikon Z 9 is a great companion in this area. You can have fun at capture unique moments, moments of infinitesimal duration by paying the right attention and bringing home memorable shots.
Beyond the quality of the photographs (which is clearly of the highest level, as we expected), it is interesting to highlight the attention paid to the design of the machine itself, designed for optimal usability. It is an extremely comfortable tool to hold in the hand, with the ability to have quick access to all functions that we need. You have to get used to the position (and sensitivity) of the shutter button on the vertical grip, which caused several laughs during the day of testing, but otherwise we were completely hooked.
Also thanks to the absence of strictly mechanical aspects, we are in hand with an instrument exceptionally robust. A feature not to be underestimated for those who have to shoot in frenetic and dynamic environments. Equally important is the external screen, adjustable on four axes, to be able to observe the scene always comfortably from every angle and position.
