The film puts under a magnifying glass the intertwining of the culture of patriarchy and the breakthrough of modernitythe conflict between what is impossible and what should be technically possible to save a young life.
The drama of a family forced to decide and it is inscribed in a scenario where hope is progressively replaced by violence and the horror of an unspeakable commodification. Until the meeting of a glance between a mother and a father it opens us to a future time where healing also means re-establishing human relationships on values far stronger than the purely genetic ones.
