After 25 years, Pokémon is preparing to give space to new protagonists, who will take the place of Ash and Pikachu. That’s who I am
They went well 25 years old since Ash Ketchum and his inseparable Pikachu first appeared on the small screen. Together they have cheered up the afternoons of millions of children who have just returned from school. In Italy the first episode was broadcast on Italia 1 in January 2000while in Japan as early as April 1997. The animated series was created by Satoshi Tajiri, thanks to the success achieved by previous video games. Since then the success has been incredible, so much so that the producers have created quite a few 25 seasons. All accompanied by films, books, video games, gadgets that are still highly sought after by fans of the series.
Pokémon: Our Unforgettable Childhood Adventure
There are few left who do not know the world of Pokémon. For those who don’t know, let’s remember that the series tells the adventures of a little boy named Ashwho has a dream: become the strongest Pokémon trainer in the world. He will then decide to leave on an incredible journey, which will lead him to meet and capture many of these cute little monsters, always accompanied by his trusty Pikachu and other friends that he will meet along the way.
Like everything though, after more than 2000 episodes, Ash’s story had to come to an end. The young coach’s adventure will end with a last celebratory seasonof 11 episodes, which will be broadcast in Japan from January 13th. We can consider these new episodes as a thank you to the fans, who have followed the two protagonists for years.
Admit it, even if you are among those who have stopped watching the series for some time, you are a little excited to think back to the adventures of the two protagonists, who made you dream so much when you were little. Even if you had lost sight of him a little growing up, you knew that Ash was there and was continuing his adventure. Knowing that soon it won’t be like this anymore puts a little nostalgia: our childhood is really over. But if you are thinking that the animated saga will stop, you are wrong. In 2023 the anime will return, with two new protagonists.
Pokémon: the new protagonists
Saying goodbye to Ash won’t mean saying goodbye forever to the magical world of Pokémon, which will continue to live thanks to new characters. It’s about Liko e Roy (the name is taken from the Japanese version) who are preparing to take the place of the two previous protagonists, leading us to experience many new adventures. By their side Sprigatito, Fuecoco e Quaxly, their adventure companions, featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games.
