In the past few hours the terrible news: Lance Reddick, the actor famous for his performances in The Wire, Fringe and John Wick, has died, he was just 60 years old
We woke up to sad news this morning: yesterday evening word came from US sources of the death of Lance Reddick, apparently of natural causes. The actor was currently busy with a press tour for the fourth iteration of the John Wick franchise, which will hit theaters shortly, and was due to guest on Kelly Clarkson’s TV show next week.
An unexpected death, therefore, for a man of just 60 with many projects on the way. Lance Reddick was in fact engaged in the realization of the serie tv di Disney Plus Percy Jackson and the Olympiansas the Greek god Zeus. On the big screen we have been able to see him in other films, in addition to the John Wick series, such as Godzilla Vs. Kong, Attack on Power 3 – Angel has Fallen, Sylvie’s Love and That Night in Miami.
Dead Lance Reddick: the actor of Fringe and The Wire was just 60 years old
However, it is in the world of TV series that Lance Reddick has left a more marked mark. Just think of his interpretation of Cedrick Daniels, agent of the Baltimore Police Department of The Wire, HBO series, or of commander of the Fringe Division Phillip Broyles, in the iconic and homonymous cult series by JJ Abrams. Reddick also had roles in Bosch, Oz and last but not least Lost. Finally, the actor has also starred in several recent video games, such as the two chapters of the Horizon series (Zero Dawn and Forbidden West), in the two of Destiny and, perhaps the best known role, in Quantum Break.
We too were shocked to read the news of the last few hours: Lance Reddick was a well-known face for TV series fans and to think that he died at just 60 makes our hearts squeeze. The writers of John Wick 4 have already said that the film will be named in his memory.
