History between the lines is the new literary festival of historical literatureorganized in its first edition by Palio Foundation and from Municipality of Legnano; the event will be held from 14 to 16 April. In the municipality of the province of Milan, meetings related to ancient, modern and contemporary history will be organized which will vary from fiction to non-fiction, through workshops for children but also events for teenagers and adults.
From the site of the Palio Foundation we read how the goal of the project is to make Legnano a pole of attraction of historical fiction, in the hope of transforming the municipality into a forge of ideas for enthusiasts of the field. Legnano is actually a city very ancientof which we have news as early as the 1st millennium BC, and it is the only one city together with Rome to be explicitly mentioned in theItalian national anthem.
The story between the lines: the complete programme
The History Between the Lines Festival will see a program in which meetings with authors are foreseen throughout the day: Saturday and Sunday mornings will be dedicated to academic meetings organized with theCatholic University of the Sacred Heartee with the State of Milan; on the same days, but in the morning, historical-themed activities are then planned for the little ones, with dedicated workshops; finally, in the afternoons and evenings of Friday and Saturday, meetings will be organized with authors of fiction and historical non-fiction among the best known and loved by the Italian public.
