Sony has released the new trailer online Garfield it movie, a new adventure dedicated to one of the most famous and beloved cats in pop culture, born from the mind of Jim Davis in 1978 in a line of comics. The protagonist will have the voice of Chris Prattwho has already gained his experience as a voice actor in the successful film Super Mario Bros. The Movie where he gave the voice to the protagonist Mario.
Garfield the movie: trailer and new characters
In the trailer Garfield tells his story and how he adopted his new owner John. In the trailer we can see that we will get to know new charactersincluding Vic, Garfield’s father, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. Jackson is also no stranger to the world of dubbing, in fact he gave his voice to another cat in Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. The history of Garfield in cinema
The new animated film with Chris Pratt is not Garfield’s first appearance at the cinema. Before him, in fact, there were live action films with Bill Murray in Garfield and Garfield 2, from 2004 and 2006 respectively. The films, although panned by critics, they were a commercial success. The two films also inspired direct-to-video films Garfield Gets Real e Garfield’s Fun Festin addition to the animated series Garfield and Friends e The Garfield Show. The director of the new animated film will be Mark Dindalwho worked on Chicken Little and The Emperor’s New Groovewhile the screenplay is entrusted to David Reynolds from Finding Nemo. The film is produced by Colombia Pictures and financed by Alcon Entertainment.
The film will be released theatrically around the world, excluding China. Davis serves as executive producer alongside Bridget McMeel and Craig Sost. The executive producers are John Cohen, Steven P.
