The product me it arrived in a not entirely conventional package. Very small, covered in protective film, without an external box where the name, image and characteristics of the product are usually shown. Inside, we find the inevitable instruction manual placed in the foreground. Removed the manual, we find our Bluetooth speaker, its USB cable and flexible safety strap (to be able to always carry our speaker with us).

Examining the design and use of this Bluetooth speaker from Teufel, I must admit that at first, at first glance I had doubts about its robustness. However, once I took it out of the package and touched it with my hands, I changed my mind: appears solid and resistant thanks to the manufacturing materials and to the thick protections (the device is covered in a plastic material) that protect it from water and dust, allowing it to be used even in wilder environments. Very nice to look at, in my opinion, is the combination of its gray color and the black edges, which make it aesthetically pleasing.
I tested the speaker with several devices. The first connection was not particularly fast, but later the operation and pairing with other devices improved significantly. The sound is quite powerful and precise, with high levels despite the compact size; excellent indoors, to be improved in my opinion when you are around the city. Additionally, I found long battery life; personally, I used the speaker for circa 9 ore consecutive with just one charge and the battery showed no signs of failing.
Considerations and price
Overall I am quite satisfied with this new speaker from Teufel. Looking at the price of the product (already available at the Teufel store and on Amazon at the price of 149.99 euros) and its characteristics I would recommend purchasing this device. Obviously there are some considerations to make, such as the pairing between the speaker and some devices which could indicate a slight slowness (although the problem could have been related to my personal devices). But let's start from the beginning:
- In terms of sound quality, this speaker stands out compared to many other Bluetooth speakers I've tested. The Teufel Rockster Go 2 offers exceptional vocal clarity and powerful bass, which allows it to “earn points” when compared to price and size. So if you're looking for a fairly clean sound with powerful bass, the Rockster Go it is a reliable choice.
- Furthermore, it should be underlined that it is waterproof, shockproof and has a very respectable battery (recharged after more than 16 hours of use at full power).
Note negative:
- If you want to be picky, due to the rubber coating you may need to exercise a more decisive pressure on the keys to transmit the input (I was afraid I might damage it, but it's a personal feeling);
- Connection to some devices (smartphone/tablet) a little slow and cumbersome compared to others;
- Excellent sound indoors, to “review the max” when you are in open places and with a lot of people.
