Nintendo Switch Online: new SNES games coming in July

Nintendo Switch Online’s July SNES (but not NES) games have been revealed – will it be a satisfying trio for subscribers?

Maybe not, but i SNES games arriving in the month of July for subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online they were a real bolt from the blue. As always, the notice is one week: next Wednesday, the July 28, three new titles will be among us. However, we anticipate that these are not particularly popular new arrivals, on the contrary: they are truly niche classics. By the furry of a few, therefore, Claymates, Jelly Boy and Bombuzal arrive among us. As always, we’re here to tell you what adventures it is, with all due respect to those hoping for more ambitious additions.

The SNES games of July for Nintendo Switch Online

The first of Nintendo Switch Online’s SNES classics is Claymates, one of the weirdest games to launch at the end of July. It is a platformer in which we will guide Clayton, son of Professor Putty, at the end of levels full of obstacles. Fortunately for us, our father gave us a serum with which we can transform ourselves into clay, thus allowing us to transform into different animals during the gameplay. Bombuzal, then, it is a puzzle game in which we will have to detonate the bombs taking into account various factors that will force us to think quickly. Watch the trailer below and you will understand.

We left Jelly Boy last, but in hindsight it doesn’t make much sense: it’s a major twist to the rest of the world, having been this platformer a European exclusive since 1995. The game itself is an escape from a diabolical candy factory. as a shape-shifting candy brought to life by lightning, collecting all the puzzle pieces in our path. As a selection of cult classics it is excellent, but always of cult it is: the most impatient fans are already storming the Big N with requests to see EarthBound (not to be confused with the Earthbound Papas) or Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (to be definitely confused with Square-Enix).
