The new trailer of A Classic Horror Story by Roberto De Feo and Paolo Strippoli has been released: the film will be presented at the Taormina Film Fest 2021 and then debuted on Netflix on July 14
Roberto De Feo back to horror. After the dazzling debut in the feature film with The nest, the director is ready to upset us again with A Classic Horror Story, written and directed by Paolo Strippoli. Lucio Besana, Milo Tissone and David Bellini also contributed to the screenplay.
In cast we find more or less known faces of young Italian and international cinema: Matilda Lutz, Francesco Russo, Peppino Mazzotta, Yulia Sobol, Will Merrick, Alida Baldari Calabria and Cristina Donadio.
The official plot of A Classic Horror Story
The film was shot between Rome and Puglia and is a tribute to a lot of genre cinema, as can be seen from the official synopsis:
Five carpoolers travel in an RV to reach a common destination. Night falls and to avoid an animal carcass they crash into a tree. When they come to their senses they find themselves in the middle of nowhere. The road they were traveling on has disappeared; now there is only a dense and impenetrable wood and a wooden house in the middle of a clearing. They will soon discover that it is the home of an unmentionable cult. How did they get there? What really happened after the accident? Who are the masked creatures depicted on the paintings in the house? Will they be able to trust each other to try to get out of the nightmare they have been trapped in?
Presented in competition at Taormina Film Fest 2021, the film will then be released on Netflix – however produced by Colorado Film – from July 14. In the meantime we can enjoy the new disturbing trailer:
