According to data from Kaspersky’s new study “Social dilemma”, theattitude of Italians towards social networks is changing. For an increasing number of users, in fact, it is becoming difficult to find the right balance between the positive effects of technology and social media and the negative effects that risk becoming too great.

Kaspersky investigation data confirms that i42% of Italians believe they do not have full control of social media. Note that 31% feel negative emotions which can lead to increased levels of stress and anxiety. Some users are starting to take proactive steps to develop healthier digital habits. 37% of users say they limit or reduce their time on social media. The use of meditation apps is also growing (the time spent on such apps grew by more than 30% in 2020 compared to the previous year). A course to overcome the stress of technology

Kaspersky partnered with Neil Tranter, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) expert, for the launch of a course linked to techniques that can help users a re-evaluate the relationship with technology. The course in question is “Overcoming digital stress and smartphone addiction”. Regarding the project, Tranter underlines: “Users will learn to overcome digital stress and smartphone addiction, will be able to learn psychology techniques to distract themselves and develop mindfulness skills to channel their attention and choose to devote themselves to healthier pastimes”
