ACEM is the European association of the motorcycle industry based in Brussels. All the world groups of motorcycles and scooters participate in this today. The appointment of Michele Colaninno to the presidency of ACEM coincides with the reorganization of the structure of the Association. In fact, three Vice-Presidents have also been appointed. In particular: Stefan Pierer (CEO of KTM AG), Markus Schramm (Head of BMW Motorrad) ed Eric de Seynes (President of Yamaha Motor Europe NV).

“As the new President of ACEM, I am very grateful to the other motorcycle manufacturers for the trust they have placed in the Piaggio Group in this prestigious and demanding role that I will play with the utmost commitment”, commented Michele Colaninno.

“I will work with all members of the Association to promote the priorities described in Vision 2030+, ACEM’s strategic document that responds to the future needs of mobility in a world that will be increasingly sustainable. As part of this Vision, the European motorcycle industry will continue to work to bring innovative and low-carbon vehicles to the market for urban commuting, leisure and mobility in general ”.

“Furthermore,” continued Michele Colaninno, “as part of the Vision 2030+, we will intensify our dialogue with EU institutions and increase sector cooperation in strategic areas, such as connectivity, security and electrification”.

Michele Colaninno, born in 1976, in addition to the roles covered in the Piaggio Group, is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Immsi Group. It is an industrial holding listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (IMS.MI), active in the financial, real estate and industrial sectors. It boasts a turnover of over 1,7 billion euros.
