Acertoday unveiled the new Chromebook Vero 51, the first Chromebook of the line Vero of devices eco-sustainable. The new product reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability by offering consumer and professional users more options to reduce their ecological footprint.

The new Acer Vero 514 Chromebook (CBV514-1H / T) features a design that takes into account the entire life cycle of the product, as it is easy to upgrade, repair, disassemble and recycle. It also uses recycled materials in most of its components, including the 30% of plastic materials PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) nello chassis and the 50% of PCR plastic in the keyboardil 100% of plastic materials recovered from the sea on the surface of the touchpad and the 90% of packaging made from recycled paper.

Reduction, Reuse, Recycle

The new Chromebook Acer Vero 514, is made with plastic PCR with the 30% in the chassis and, in the display frame and with the 50% in keyboard and speakers.

Also, the new Acer Chromebook contributes to the reduction of waste plastic in the oceans: the internal fan housing and the touchpad OceanGlass are made of plastic materials recovered from the sea, which give an elegant glass-like appearance and a pleasant touch sensation.

The device is designed for one longer life and to minimize environmental impact. Repairs and upgrades of memory and storage are made easier with the use of standard screws on the bottom cover, which facilitates access to internal components. The chassis is unpainted and has a gray finish, while the display panel is recyclable al 99%.

Il Chromebook Acer Vero 514 conforms to standards MIL-STD 810H, and is characterized by remarkable impact resistance and long life thanks to a reinforced design that protects it from falls from heights up to 122 cm.

Acer Chromebook Vero 514, high performance

Equipped with the latest processors Intel Core from twelfth generation and, of the graphics Intel Iris Xe, Acer Chromebook Vero 514 meets all users’ collaboration, productivity and entertainment needs. The fast-charging battery in just 30 minutes allows you to generate the 50% autonomy (i.e. 5 of 10 hours total).

The display Full HD antiglare from 14 inches made in Corning Gorilla Glassavailable with the touchscreen option, boasts a brightness of 300 nits and returns a range of colors sRGB al 100%, offering a brilliant and engaging visual experience. The display features thin bezels and offers an impressive ratio 88% screen-to-chassis. The webcam Full HD with reduced reflexes e audio DTS with intelligent amplifier guarantees high quality videocall.

Designed for creative applications and connectivity, Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is equipped with the fast and reliable Wi-Fi 6E and connects to a wide range of devices and displays. It also has several ports that also allow charging, including two USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A e HDMI.

Acer Chromebook Enterprise Vero 514

It offers users of the most environmentally oriented companies, as well as call centers and organizations in the healthcare sector, various professional features of ChromeOS for greater operational efficiency and productivity.

The Chromebook Enterprise Vero 514 has the professional features of ChromeOS unlocked; between these, advanced security features, reporting and insights, scalable cloud-based management, and zero-touch logging.

Recyclable packaging further reduces the environmental impact

Il packaging is made with material recycled and recyclable, to minimize waste. The box is made up for the 90% from recycled paper, while the notebook case and the protective sheet between the keyboard and the display are made with recycled plastic 100%.

The envelope that contains the charger is made of paper, rather than using the traditional plastic bag. Once the Chromebook is ready to use, the inner packaging of the device can be transformed into a multipurpose triangular support for laptop or be used for other functions
