On February 18th Adam Sandler will receive the People’s Icon Award, a recognition given to the legends of the entertainment industry
During the People’s Choice Awards ceremony, Adam Sandler will be honored with the People’s Icon Award. The event is scheduled for February 18 next in Santa Monica and will air in live on NBC. It will be hosted by the actor, stuntman and screenwriter Simu Liu, who we saw this summer in Barbie, where he was one of the Kens.
Receiving the 2023 People’s Icon Award was Lenny Kravitz, who will have the Music Icon Award this year and will perform during the awards ceremony. In the past the People’s Icon Award has gone to celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston e Melissa McCarthy.

Adam Sandler has been an institution in our industry for several decades now, entertaining us since he made his debut on Saturday Night Live 30 years ago. From Billy Madison to Mr. Deed, his unforgettable characters have stood the test of time and left their mark on audiences generation after generation. We are happy to honor him this year with the People’ Icon Award.
Adam Sandler is truly a fine actor but certainly underestimated because it is very often linked to a genre, comedy, which has always been considered second-rate. Among his most appreciated films we can find Sooner or later I’ll get married, Zohan and Drunk in Love, but above all the excellent and acclaimed Rough diamonds. Soon, from March 1st on Netflix, we will be able to admire it in Spaceman, alongside Carey Mulligan and directed by Johan Renck. The plot will present a boy who was orphaned as a child and raised by his grandparents in the Czech countryside, ready to overcome any difficulty in order to become the country’s first astronaut.
