Amazon announces the launch of Alexa Smart Properties for Hospitality in Italia: the voice assistant becomes a real virtual concierge. In fact, it helps guests find their way around: it allows you to connect WiFi, get information on hotel hours (restaurant, swimming pool) but also manage your smart home, from air conditioning to lights. In short: all the artificial intelligence of Alexa, in your hotel room.

Do you want to know the gym or bar opening hours? Do you want to regulate the light or the air conditioning, rather than report some problem with the room? Do you need to know what the weather will be like the next day, how to get to the airport or when is the best time to visit the Colosseum? You can ask Alexa – now also in your hotel room.

Already in France and the United Kingdom, the service Alexa Smart Properties for Hospitality is now also available in Italy at the TH Rome Carpegna Palace Hotel.

Giorgio Palmucci, Executive Vice President TH Resorts, said: “TH Group is thrilled to be among the first chains in Italy to use Alexa Smart Properties at the TH Roma Carpegna Palace Hotel“. This is because: “Thanks to Alexa we will be even better able to guarantee our guests immediate feedback on all their needs: from simple information to specific requests for the staff. This will allow you to experience the same comfort experience as at home in the hotel”.

Meryem Tom, Director Alexa Enterprise EU di Amazon explains that: “Customers tell us they appreciate the intuitive nature of Alexa to perform tasks ranging from entertainment to requesting information, up to the control of the smart home. With Alexa Smart Properties for Hospitality, customers can experience the same comfort in their hotel room”.

Particular attention to privacy

The new service allows users to interact in English and Italian, something extremely useful for tourists. And there is no need to connect your personal account. Also, if users prefer they can mute the microphone of the Echo device in the room – even if the recordings are not saved (here all the info on privacy).

Parc Hotels Italia will also launch the solution at Parc Hotel in Peschiera del Gardawhile the group So.GES al Borgo di Cortefreda in Florence. Soon, Alexa Smart Properties for Hospitality will also be available to guests of the Continental Terme Hotel in Montegrotto (Padua).
