Amazon did not abandon the project of fast deliveries by “air” thanks to drones and the new MK30 drone represents the clear testimony of the company’s commitment in this sense. In fact, during the Delivering the Future event held in Boston, Amazon presented the new MK30 drone which should enter service, as a means of delivery, in the course of 2024. Amazon presents MK30: the delivery drone
Il new MK30 drone is more therelight and compact compared to the previous model MK27-2 but is able to cover greater distances as well as to fly even in adverse weather conditions. Its particular structure also makes it quieter (25%). From its predecessor, Amazon’s new drone inherits the IA system which allows you to identify and avoid obstacles along the way.
Amazon will begin testing the new drone shortly under the supervision of the US Federal Aviation Administration. Thanks to the capacity of this drone, Amazon aims to reduce the waiting times for delivery of a product up to a minimum of just 30 minutes. Further updates on the project should arrive shortly. As previously pointed out, the appointment with the drone’s entry into action is set for 2024.
