An explanation for everything: the release date in Italian cinemas has been revealed

Arthouse has revealed the release date in Italian cinemas of An Explanation for Everything, the new feature film directed by the Hungarian Gàbor Reisz: let's discover all the details together in this dedicated article

An Explanation for Everything, the new film by Hungarian director Gábor Reisz, arrives in Italian cinemas on May 1st. The film, awarded best film at the Venice Film Festival, tells the story of Abela student from Budapest who finds himself at the center of a national scandal after wearing a pin with the colors of the Hungarian flag during the final exam. The clash with the progressive history professor will involve Abel's father and will extend beyond imagination, offering an insight into today's Hungarian society, polarized and divided by multiple tensions. Below you will find a nice trailer for the film.

An Explanation for Everything hits the cinema: that's when!

Distributed by ARTHOUSE, the I Wonder Pictures label dedicated to auteur cinema, in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm CollectionAn Explanation for Everything is an unmissable film for anyone who wants to understand the complexity of Hungary today.

Director Gàbor Reisz commented:

The display of the pins by nationalists during party events and rallies has significantly changed the meaning of this symbol over the last 20 years. If it once represented Hungarian independence and the bond with the country, today those who wear it are considered a supporter of the nation and those who do not wear it are, instead, an opponent. The situation has worsened to the point that every gathering of friends or relatives soon leads to a position being taken and, consequently, people are less and less interested in other people's opinions and in listening to each other. I am convinced that if normal human communication ceased, no one could grow.

The synopsis of the film, however, is as follows:

Budapest, today. Abel prepares for his final exams crushed between family expectations and his unconfessed love for his friend Janka. When the exam goes wrong, the boy's failure becomes the spark that ignites the clash between his father, a staunch conservative, and his history teacher, a progressive. Until the incident becomes a media scandal and the conflict moves to an even broader level… Set in Orbán's Hungary and acclaimed at the Venice Film Festival, An Explanation for Everything recounts today with refined humanity and presents the portrait of a A country (and a Europe?) split in two, where no one knows how or wants to communicate openly with the other.

An Explanation for Everything will be in Italian cinemas from May 1st with Arthouse, the I Wonder Pictures label dedicated to the most innovative auteur cinema, in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection. Continue to follow us here on TechGameWorld.com!
