Apple extends Self-Service Repair program to new Macs

Apple recently launched the Self Service Repair program which allows users to be able to carry out the repairs of the devices of the Cupertino company “on their own”, purchasing spare parts and kits to complete the repair operation. Users who rely on the Self Service Repair program also receive all the support manuals to complete the intervention. Apple just announced a new program expansion that now also includes desktop Macs.

The Self Service Repair program is also accessible from desktop Macs

With the new update wanted by Apple, even the iMaci Mac Mini and the Mac Studio can count on the program Self Service Repair. Users will then be able to carry out the repairs independently, by purchasing or renting the repair kits directly from Apple.

Only the latest models of the Mac desktop range will be supported by the programalso active in Italy. The program makes the same components available to users that are sent to service centres. However, it must be considered that the costs are not contained. The repair kit has a rental cost of 59.95 euros.

For all the details related to the new program from Apple it is possible to consult the official Italian site from which you can also access the complete list of supported models, both for the iPhone and for the Mac range.
