Assassin’s Creed: Blade of Shao Jun, the new manga in the series

Ubisoft continues to expand the Assassin’s Creed universe beyond the gaming medium, this time with a new manga titled Blade of Shao Jun

The recent success of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla crowned a spectacular restart both in terms of quality and numerical sales for the ten-year series of Ubisoft which, with ups and downs, continues to entertain a huge slice of gamers. The universe of the creed of the Assassins and the Templars is diluted in a large number of video games, between the main series and spin-offs for mobile devices or the like, but also in books and comics. Through a press release, Ubisoft has announced the arrival of a new manga dedicated to the series, called Blade of Shao Jun.

Based on Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, the first chapter of the spin-off trilogy along with India and Russia, the manga tells an unpublished story that will bring together the past and present of the brotherhood in a truly compelling adventure. Set in 1526 China, a period in which the Great Ming Empire flourished, the country was experiencing a period of riots and riots following the political purge set in motion by Emperor Jiajing. Shao Jun is the only one of the Brotherhood of Assassins left alive and decides to return to her homeland to take revenge and, at the same time, search for a mysterious treasure belonging to the Brotherhood. Obviously the situation will be more complicated than Shao Jun hoped.
