Back 4 Blood: The game’s beta is a (near) six figure success on Steam

The zombie revives are back for some more blood, but players on Steam have welcomed them into the Back 4 Blood beta

A spiritual sequel to Left 4 Dead is never said to no, and according to data from Steam there were many to welcome the game I know it beta from Back 4 Blood has reached similar figures. We are referring to almost a hundred thousand players connected simultaneously, which is practically crazy if we count that it is not a test open to everyone. The latter is in fact scheduled for this Thursday, August 12th. The zombies will keep us company (and keep us in suspense) for the whole weekend of August 15th. The hunger for horror by Valve’s undead fans is tangible, and Warner Bros. seems to have adjusted accordingly.

(Bloody) footprints of a successful game: the beta of Back 4 Blood is all the rage on Steam

If we consider that the game finished eighth in the top ten of the most played titles on Steam, the beta version of Back 4 Blood was a success beyond all parameters. If you want exact figures, talk no less of 98.024 if the peak of “Saturday evening” is reliable (time zones permitting). Boasting the competition from the likes of none other than Team Fortress 2, therefore, the survival of WB Games seems to have all the credentials to break through.

This is not to say that the game was problem-free, especially with regards to servers. The latter have in fact encountered problems due to which some players could not log in. Furthermore, apparently some zombies have used racial slurs in their dialogues, but according to a clarification of the publisher it was only the erroneous and simultaneous reproduction of two different audio. The number of players has dropped to “only” 75,000, so the conditions are excellent for the release autumnal of the game.
