The BMW Group has been among the leaders in electric mobility since the debut of the BMW i brand at the beginning of the last decade and is constantly investing in research and development to improve the technologies necessary for consumption reduction ed

The Group reaffirmed its willingness to respect all the commitments on the subject of CO2 emissions. The great attention on this front is evidenced by the results already achieved: at the end of 2020, thanks to the large amount of electrified BMW and MINI models sold, the BMW Group did better than the CO2 emissions target set by the European Union, reaching a figure of 99 g / km compared to a target of 104 g / km.

The BMW Group will have 25 electrified models in the range by 2023 and has confirmed the investment of 30 billion euros for sustainable mobility in the period 2020-2025. To date, the BMW Group has six fully electric vehicles (two or four wheels) in production: in addition to the BMW i3, with over 200,000 units built to date, there are the BMW iX3 and the new BMW iX and i4, the MINI Full Electric, the new BMW CE04 electric scooter.
