Together, they investigated the hair removal theme and the latest trends on this millennial practice.
Hair removal is now a topic on everyone’s lips. It is talked about both through traditional media, such as television (39%), with newspapers (10%), and within the main social platforms (35%). Precisely through the latter, the youngest, aged between 16 and 34, keep themselves informed on beauty trends thanks to influencers and industry experts (49%). For the less young, on the other hand, television and advertising dominate (59%).
Do-it-yourself hair removal.
That of hair removal is a practice that has very ancient origins. It is even said that the first woman to shave was Cleopatra. And still today, the 99% of women choose to shave, as shown by research data, confirming it as an integral part of
beauty routine (62%). Circa il 76% of women prefer to do it comfortably from home, confirming a trend of the lockdown effect, with great attention to the effectiveness of the final result (72%), time optimization (43%) and price (38%). However, the feelings related to hair removal are ambivalent. In the course of the practice, many women experience discomfort and perceive it as a burden.
