In the past few hours, Activision Blizzard has unveiled the start date of the CoD: Mobile World Championship 2022, the tournament dedicated to the mobile counterpart of the most famous FPS franchise ever
Despite the eternal rivalry with Battlefield, it is undeniable that the Call of Duty franchise is one of the most important and impacting every year in terms of videogame economy from the point of view of FPS. As it is equally undeniable that its mobile counterpart, called Call of Duty: Mobile with little imagination, is a gold mine for Activision Blizzard and has been able to channel the attention of an audience also interested in competitive implications. In fact, the World Championship in its 2022 edition, which promises more than 2 million in prize money, of which 1.7 million only for the final stagesthe highest prize for a single event in the history of the tournament.
All players can compete for in-game rewards, including new weapons and new Operatorsplus, for the lucky ones, a part of the prize money. The competition will start on March 31, 2022 and the first qualifying phase will end on April 24. The tournament is designed for players of all skill levels and will begin with two preliminary stages. Anyone who signs up for the tournament will receive a new Frame and a Calling Card. Every weekend that is included in the first period of the tournament, all players who have completed 10 Ranked Multiplayer matches and earned 60 points will be granted access to stage 2, and will earn new rewards every week.
