BMW Motorrad lancia ConnectedRide Cradle e lo smartphone diventa il navigatore GPS thumbnail

ConnectedRide Cradle, BMW makes the smartphone the navigator of the motorcycle

BMW Motorrad includes the ConnectedRide Cradle among its motorcycle accessories, in practice a special support to integrate your smartphone, thus making it an on-board GPS, as is now customary for those who drive a car. And by downloading the BMW Motorrad Connected app, your smartphone becomes the nerve center of your BWM motorcycle, offering even more functionality.

ConnectedRide Crandle installs directly on the handlebar of the motorcycle allows you to safely position – thanks to the individually adjustable side clamps – your smartphone to be used as a GPS navigator while driving. But not only that, because thanks to the BMW Motorrad Connected app, In addition to the navigation map, the motorcyclist can also use the motorcycle data, including lean angle, acceleration or deceleration.

ConnectedRide Cradle, not just a smartphone holder

Another no less important feature, the ConnectedRide Cradle, compatible with different models of two wheels from the Bavarian manufacturer, is ideal (for its size) with different smartphone models. When this is placed on the ConnectedRide Cradle, it comes loaded with induction technology, according to the Qi standard with a maximum of 7.5 W. If your smartphone is not compatible with this technology, you can still take advantage of a wired charging via USB type-C with a maximum of 7.5 W (1.5 A at 5 V). In addition there is also an LED charge indicator (which can be turned off) which provides information on the charge status of the phone.

However, BMW specifies that the ConnectedRide Cradle cannot be used with the Navigator 4-Button Mount Cradle.
