That of Cyberpunk 2077 may not have been the plebiscite that CD Projekt RED expected, but the development team is working with an expansion which, according to a leak, promises sparks. The criticism with the game certainly did not go smoothly, and it is perhaps also for this reason that (although it is a rumor to be taken with a proper pair of pliers) the developers have what it takes to make amends. The DLC is scheduled for next year, and that means we won’t have any official news from the sci-fi dystopia of Johnny Silverhand and company for at least a little while longer. But leaks, you know, are… ineluctable.

Apparently, hundreds of dialogue files from the expansion were accidentally inserted into Cyberpunk 2077 via a recent patch, hence the leak. The data not only reveals the history of the entire DLC, but also and above all several other crucial details. Don’t worry, we certainly do not intend to make spoilers! We can, however, “give the numbers”. In fact, we speak of seven main missions, new encounters, new quests and much more. Also, if we are allowed a little anticipation, it will be Songbird to take the reins of the stage, due to the lack of availability of Keanu Reeves to record new lines as Johnny.
Concluding the DLC will also have an impact on the plot of the base game: the ending, specifically, will mention the events of the expansion. Meanwhile, this full-bodied DLC will introduce new areas of Night City, including a stadium (Sports Dome, literally “sports dome”) and an arena (Combat Zone). Both zones are present in the base game’s open world, but are not accessible.
