A post from the official account of Xbox Game Pass unleashed a wave of hives on the skulls of fans of Death Strandinggiven that at the expense of the existence of a PC version the IP still belongs to Sony. Of course, we have to clarify that this is the social profile of the subscription service, but “only” its counterpart for computers. Since it is the cobalt titan who holds every right, it is normal that in the last few hours the fans have had something to worry about. But as we mentioned in our subtitle, even stranger things have happened in the past than this.
Death Stranding and Xbox Game Pass: an escapade on PC what to do?
As you can see in the tweet below, fans were quick to respond to the “new profile picture” feared by Xbox Game Pass: the presence on PC of Death Stranding is the responsibility of Steam, but the glimpse comes from the latest son of Hideo Kojima without a doubt. Or rather, in reality the “extramarital” publisher is 505 Games: we are therefore not facing the same scenario seen with MLB The Show. In a tweet dating back to April, that parsley Jeff Grubb recalled (rightly so) that Sony specified on the Steam title page that it has full control over the reins of the IP.

To be precise, however, “Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc./Kojima Productions Co.” it can also be interpreted in another way. In fact, it is possible that it is an agreement between the studio of the volcanic game designer and the blue titan to share the authorship of this great little modern pearl. The agreement, according to this interpretation that has already taken hold in the foreign sector press, would imply the promise to publish the game on platforms not to be considered rivals.
