DJIa global leader in civilian drone manufacturing and creative imaging technology, unveiled DJI RS 3 Minia lightweight and portable travel stabilizer developed to support leading mirrorless cameras.
DJI RS 3 Mini, lightweight and with super performance
The stabilizer has a small and light body (the weight is less than 800 grams) and can withstand loads weighing up to 2 kg. The device inherits the excellent stabilization performance of the RS 3 series, offering consumers greater shooting potential in creating professional content while traveling or on the go.
It also comes with: Bluetooth shutter control; a third generation stabilization algorithm; ability to select between landscape and native portrait mode; a 1.4-inch color touchscreen display.
“Since the debut of the Ronin series, born for professional videomaking, DJI has continuously worked to bring world-class technology to an ever-growing number of content creators,” he said Paul Pan, Senior Product Line Manager di DJI.
“DJI RS 3 Mini is testament to DJI’s core value in offering innovative stabilization technology to all those who like to condense their moments into a photo or video. Now, anyone with a mirrorless camera will be able to experience the same industry-leading technology used on film sets and studios around the world.”
As for the design, DJI RS 3 Mini adopts a compact and portable all-in-one style, and is about 50% lighter than RS 3 Pro and 40% lighter than RS 3. This feature makes it more easy to carry and perfect for obtaining magnificent results even when you need to use it with only one hand. Finally, it can be conveniently stored in a shoulder bag.
The perfect tool for mirrorless owners
DJI RS 3 Mini can support a wide range of mirrorless camera and lens combinations.
For example it has an attack NATO for quick attach/detach on the side of the body and features direct connection with various accessories such as DJI’s Handle Grip, external auxiliary lights or microphones. By clicking here you can access the complete list of compatible devices.
But the technological marvels of this stabilizer didn’t end there.
Due to the demands of today’s vertical video production, the RS 3 Mini is equipped with a double layer quick release plate, to achieve vertical shooting without the need for additional accessories.
In this way, video content for social media can therefore be shot very easily. In addition, the top plate features a new curved positioning guide, which prevents the camera from rotating and loosening.
DJI RS 3 Mini has third generation stabilization
DJI’s third-generation stabilization algorithm has been used on RS 3 Mini to provide outstanding performance in any mode: whether the user is running, shooting from low angles or in flashlight mode.
Content stability during shooting is guaranteed by a powerful engine and professional-level image stabilization can be achieved even by less experienced users.
Ultra practical connection and power for the whole day
An important function is that Shutter can be activated with Bluetooth, as it supports connection with most mirrorless cameras on the market. After the initial connection, the camera will automatically be ready to shoot once it is turned on, while users can control the video recording and photo capture functions by pressing the record button on the gimbal.
Furthermore, when using a Sony camera with a supported digital lens, you can also control the optical or digital zoom of the lens directly with the front wheel, which is easily reached with one hand.
Finally, the RS 3 Mini’s built-in battery grip provides up to 10 hours of battery life, ideal for a full day of shooting.
